Everyone needs to have a massage. I have personally witness knots in a new born baby's shoulder and tight inner thigh muscles.

The rotator cuff is a group of muscles and tendons that attach to the bones of the shoulder joint, allowing the shoulder to move and keeping it stable. Rotator cuff tendinitis refers to irritation of these tendons and inflammation of the bursa (a normally smooth layer) lining these tendons. A rotator cuff tear occurs when one of the tendons is torn from overuse or injury.

Cupping is the term applied to a technique that uses small glass or plastic cups as suction devices that are placed on the skin. Once the suction has occurred, the cups can be gently moved across the skin (often referred to as "gliding cupping). The suction in the cups causes the skin and superficial muscle layer to be lightly drawn into the cup. Cupping is much like the inverse of massage - rather than applying pressure to muscles, it uses gentle pressure to pull them upward.

The massage itself promotes circulation, sensory nerve perception, and lymphatic drainage and provides a deep sense of relaxation and well-being. An added benefit for the practitioner is that using the bamboo sticks helps to reduce stress and strain on hands and fingers while still allowing for deeply penetrating maneuvers.

Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) Stretching PNF is used to supplement daily stretching and is employed to make quick gains in range of motion to help people improve motion in their joints. Good range of motion makes better bio-mechanics, reduces fatigue and helps prevent overuse injuries.

Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) TMJ can be severely debilitating, affecting your ability to function daily with chronic headaches, dizziness, difficulty concentrating, and pain...not to mention night time teeth grinding. While not everyone has all the symptoms, and there are a variety of causes, we have developed a supportive treatment we really believe in. We use both external and intra-oral techniques, depending on your comfort level.

The premise behind hot stone massage therapy is that the direct heat of the stones relaxes muscles, allowing the therapist access to their deeper muscle layers. Combining hot stone protocols with a full body massage provides a very healing and effective experience. The hot stones also expand blood vessels, which encourages blood flow throughout the body. The hot stones have a sedative effect that can relieve chronic pain, reduce stress and promote deep relaxation.

Applying massage therapy and releasing the Trigger Points in this area, the movement of the shoulder can GREATLY improve and in several cases the shoulder regains pain-free, full range of motion. We have noticed that many patients with Frozen Shoulder are not even aware of it, they only feel tension on the neck, upper back and shoulders.

Shooting pain that tends to start in the mid buttocks and travels down to the bottom of the foot. If the cause is located in the lower back, or in the glut area, massage can help alleviate the pain by helping the muscles around the nerve to relax and release any tension they may be holding. While this won’t directly help any conditions that are affecting the hard structures of the bone, it will provide a level of relief.
